BISF AD 2.20 LOCAL TRAFFIC REGULATIONS

Selfoss Airport is open to all flights which is able to use it provided that pilots adhere to the local rules.

Pilots using the airport do so at their own risk.

Traffic pattern:

Traffic pattern at 1000 feet altitude.
Aircraft flying within ca. 10 NM of the airport, below 2000 feet, should call „Selfoss traffic“ on 118.1 MHZ with relevant information.

BISF AD 2.21 NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES

Night restrictions: Between 23:00 and 07:00 - Takeoffs not permitted. Emergency exemptions should be recorded.

Touch and go landings are only permitted weekdays between 07:00 and 18:00.

Runway 05: Left hand pattern
Take-off: Climb runway heading to a roundabout on the road north of Ölfusá River or until reaching 1000 feet altitude which ever comes first, before turning x-wind.

Aircraft intending to fly east after take-off, should reach 1000ft before overflying the town of Selfoss, but should limit unnecessary traffic over urban areas.

Landing: Maintain 1000 feet altitude until abeam runway threshold, then start descent, turn to base leg north of the road leading to Sandvík (farm on final 05).

Runway 23: Right hand pattern
Take-off: Climb to 1000 feet to avoid the farm Sandvik, before turn downwind.

Landing: Maintain 1000 feet altitude until abeam roundabout on the road north of Ölfusá River, then turn base leg and start the descent.

Runway 14: Right hand pattern
Aircraft shall climb to 1000 feet altitude before turning downwind.

Runway 32: Left hand pattern

Aircraft shall climb to 1000 feet altitude before turning downwind.
